Our Story

Started by three brothers in 2014 MMZ Distributors Inc. We found that there were some inefficiencies within the automotive industry. All three of us have worked for our Father who started his own automotive repair business dating back to 1998. Countless hours were spent by all three of us inside the shop working on vehicles and admiring our father's abilities to repair them with such precision. It wasn't until later in 2006 that our father bought into a franchise of an OK Tire & Auto which has changed and currently operating as "3 Son's Integra Tire & Auto." Spending countless hours and numerous summers throughout school as young kids to becoming more apparent and able to repair vehicles ourselves it was in 2012 that the three of us started working full time for our father. With business degrees and our younger brother pursuing his Automotive Service Technician License it became apparent that we were more than suited to step into the business and eventually run it.

After working for a few years together full-time it became evident that there were some lacking features to the automotive industry. It was at this point that we stumbled upon our first common expenditure and found a way to alleviate the costs of having to pay to heat our entire shop during the cold winter months in Alberta. This is when we stumbled upon Omni Heat and purchased a waste oil burning furnace that allows us to use our waste oils and convert it to heat. Currently working with EconoHeat Inc. in Spokane,

Washington we have sold a handful of units to customers who are looking to cut the costs of natural gas consumption. As a work in progress this was a no brainer when it came to finding a way to cut costs and save our family company money at which point we discussed why we couldn’t create a market for other companies to save money and cut costs of necessary everyday products being used. Not only did we see this as a plausible market for consumers to save money but as well a market that promotes the recycling of oil with minimal environmental impact. At this point this is where our vision started and we began to question why we couldn’t create a company that promoted reducing, re-using, or recycling of everyday needed products and promote a green footprint by sourcing products that also have this vision in mind.

With this vision in mind it opened our eyes to the everyday products that we used in the automotive shop that almost seemed to be a waste or simply over excessive. We took a look at our everyday activities and our most common jobs and came to a conclusion that perhaps one of the biggest wastes produced is the typical tire. Looking deeper into the tire one can understand that there is most commonly 4 per vehicle each of the four coming with numerous issues that falter or simply leave a tire inoperative. Even with the common day vehicle, most coming with tire pressure monitors, we found that the number of tires being ruined due to a simple puncture hole that could have been easily repaired yet it was neglected was astounding. Working in the industry it opened our eyes to the waste of rubber sometimes throwing out tires that were months old. At this point we looked at the environmental impact in which rubber inhibits. The cost of producing tires has risen as so have the cost of tires themselves and rubber being a depleting resource doesn’t help the issue. Rubber isn't the only thing that is used in the manufacturing of tires, there are plenty of chemical compounds, steel belts, and polymers used throughout the manufacturing process. After looking at tires and the make-up of its compound, like any other hazardous waste it needs to be disposed of properly. Thankfully in Canada we have a pretty established recycling program for used tires and rubber compounds. The rubber aggregate from recycling is now being used more and more for numerous types of recycled products ranging anywhere from roadway material to playground matting. Kudos to the government for implementing a system in which inhibits the growth of waste rubber but at the same time we thought to ourselves how is there no way to slow the process in which we as a society consume tires and rubber.

This is where we stumbled on a product that was right in our wheel house of something in which we could use throughout our everyday workplace.

The product which we stumbled on is "Ride-On Tire Protection System" which is manufactured and distributed out of Virginia, Washington. After doing more research and reaching out to the manufacturers we booked flights and were off to visit the factory for more product knowledge and see the process of how the product works within the automotive industry. Not long after our visit and our own testing on products we saw this product as the perfect opportunity to promote our vision of distributing a product that keeps a green footprint. The eco-friendly and bio-degradable features was not the only reason we added this product to our repertoire, but rather its promotion of reducing wear and extending useable life of tires that caught us fully. We now proudly are the Canadian distributors and ambassadors for the full line of Rid-On TPS Products. For more information on the product please visit the Ride-On TPS product page for the full list of applications and features.

At MMZ distributors it is our goal to maintain our green footprint and to provide consumers with ecologically friendly products that promote a greener future for the next generations to come.
